Neil Shimabukuro

Neil Shimabukuro

PT, MPT, OCS


Neil was born and raised on Oahu and graduated from Moanalua High School. He attended the University of Hawaii and obtained a B.A. in Psychology. Neil earned his Master of Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California and went on to receive board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Additional certifications in manual therapy and Graston technique have supplemented his current practice. Neil has worked in various outpatient practices in Honolulu before starting Holomua Physical Therapy in 2012. He is currently serving as a member of the State of Hawaii Board of Physical Therapy. Neil enjoys running, aikido, kendo and spending time with his wife, two kids, and dog.

Julie Enomoto

Julie Enomoto

PT, DPT


Julie graduated with a B.A. in Liberal Studies, focusing on Kinesiology classes at the University of Hawaii. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. Over her years of practice, she has seen the value of taking the time to learn about her patients physical habits and movement patterns. Julie finds the body to be a fascinating machine and enjoys working with patients to improve their movement dysfunction. She also educates her patients on their condition so they may better understand their body and what they can do to help themselves heal. Julie has further developed an understanding of body movement through a mentorship in Pilates at the Pure Pilates studio in Honolulu. She also enjoys doing yoga and hiking. Julie treasures her time with her family. She lives in Kaneohe with her husband, two girls and dog. She enjoys the view when commuting, appreciating the beauty of the mountains of Oahu, where she was born and raised.

Charmaine Mamaril

Charmaine was born and raised in Sacramento, California. After high school, she attended Whittier College where she graduated with a B.A. in Biology and Kinesiology. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California, and eventually earned her board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. After years of working both in the Bay Area and Los Angeles, she decided to move to Oahu so she could surf without needing a wetsuit year round. Outside of physical therapy, Charmaine enjoys spending time at the beach, surfing, swimming, and free diving. 

Tyler Mikami

Tyler Mikami

PT, DPT

Tyler Mikami, PT, DPT, grew up in Ewa Beach, Hawaiʻi and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. After a year working as a physical therapy technician to deepen his understanding of movement and rehab progression, he completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Touro University in Henderson, Nevada. Tyler returned home wanting to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to the local community. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with family, going to the beach, hiking, and playing pickleball and tennis, and he’s always seeking new learning opportunities to better serve his patients. 

Bennett Zazzera

Bennett Zazzera

PT, DPT, OCS

Born and raised in San Francisco, California, Dr. Bennett Zazzera has called Hawaiʻi home since 2014. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis in 2011 and went on to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at the University of Miami in 2014, where he was honored with the Clinical Excellence Award.

In 2018, Bennett achieved board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), reflecting his advanced expertise in orthopedic and sports-related rehabilitation. With over a decade of clinical experience, he is passionate about helping patients of all ages return to the activities they love—pain-free and stronger than before.

Beyond patient care, Bennett serves as the Program Director of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Kapiʻolani Community College, where he was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2022 for his dedication to educating the next generation of physical therapy professionals.

When he’s not in the clinic or classroom, Bennett cherishes time with his wife Joanne and their three children—Denali, Celeste, and Geno. You’ll find the Zazzera family at the baseball diamond on almost all nights and weekends, where Bennett coaches his kids’ youth baseball teams.
